Q: I want a vBase site. Do I need to find  a company to host it?top

A: No. We will buy a domain name (.com) with the name you require (if available), for example www.yourdomain.com. Visitors to your site will just type in www.yourdomain.com, and be transferred to your vBase website.

Q: I already have a hosting service. Now what?top

A: Most domain name providers allow you to change the name servers. Simply point them to ns1.vbaseserver.com and ns2.vbaseserver.com.

Some domain name providers are more restrictive, or let you pay to do so (very bad practice in our opinion). As a work-around, we can place a one-page access file on your server, which is completely transparent to the end user. They will end up on your website without noticing any difference.

Q: Do I get discount because I use my own web hosting service?top

A: We can be short: No.

Q: Does a vBase account come with email addresses? top

A: Yes, up to three. Additional email addresses can be set up for a one-off fee of 10 US$ per address.

Q: What is included in my annual billing?top

A: Domain name renewal (if you don't have your own domain), vBase hosting and basic support

Q: I have no access to add or remove pages, Why?top

A:

1) Basically, because you asked for that. vBase is powerful and flexible, and to add and delete pages requires almost no effort. With the emphasis on delete! If you are happy with the amount of pages you have, and don't want to change anything about that except for the content, then that's a safe choice.

2) Your design specifications only allow limited pages. If your site's layout is restrictive on adding extra navigation items, then adding pages could mess up the overall appearance of your site. Horizontal navigation bars can easily run out of space.

3) Another reason might be, is that your site uses a non-standard page navigation system.
